KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Technician, Global Executive & Private Client Group for our Global Executive & Private Client Group practice in Tax.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze tax-related documents with guidance from team members
- Create and update spreadsheets for our team
- Assist team in preparing client deliverables
- Perform preliminary tax calculations and conduct initial research on assignments
- Assist in gathering information for tax returns and tracking progress to completion
- Communicate with clients as instructed by team members
- Process payroll and deliver payroll reports to clients
- Complete administrative tasks with guidance from team members
Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing and have obtained by the start date or have completed the following degree in the past 12 months: Bachelor's from an accredited college/university
- Preferred majors: Tax, Accounting, International Business, Finance, or equivalent program
- Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
- Bilingual in English and Japanese with the ability to use both Japanese and English language skills in a business environment a plus
- Demonstrated quality service mindset; strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
- Knowledge of and experience with tax research tools and software
- Excellent communication, time management and detail-oriented; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact with clients
- Ability to learn and navigate technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx and Power BI
- Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office for this position and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using own means of transportation, such as a personal vehicle or public transportation
- Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future is preferred
